The Durban Undersea Club is looking ahead.
Our current Lot 5.6 lease is month-to-month, and there is a possibility that we could lose access to the site within the next 3 to 5 years if it is developed.
The Executive Committee has been exploring what a future development could look like, and the QS phase of the project has now been completed and approved. We are moving into the next phase: determining whether the project is financially and practically viable.
We are looking for developers, investors and DUC members with relevant experience in areas such as property development, project management, financial modelling, business planning, investment, construction and funding strategy.
You don’t necessarily need to be able to do the work yourself. If you have relevant expertise, professional connections or may be interested in exploring the opportunity as a developer or investor, we would love to hear from you.
There is currently no commitment to proceed with the development.
This phase is about establishing whether there is a viable way forward that protects the Club and its facilities for future generations.
