Sodwana Bay Freediving Club Trip

Join Durban Undersea Club for one of two unforgettable freediving trips to Sodwana Bay in 2026. After an incredible first year of exploring Sodwana’s vibrant reefs together, we’re heading back for more crystal-clear water, colourful reef life, dolphin encounters and time spent connecting with the ocean and fellow ocean enthusiasts.

With departures from 24 to 27 September and 10 to 13 December 2026, each trip includes three nights’ shared, self-catering accommodation at Occi Lodge and three guided ocean dives with Da Blu Juice. Accommodation is based on per person sharing, with guests staying in either twin-share chalet rooms or a three-bedroom, six-sleeper house with a communal kitchen. Diving will take place primarily on the sheltered 2 Mile and Quarter Mile reefs (12 – 15m maximum), with one day reserved for the spectacular 9 Mile “Breaking Waters” reef, weather permitting.

This social club trip is open to all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re a confident snorkeller, recreational freediver or simply looking to spend time in the ocean, you’re welcome to join us. Please note that this is not a freediving course or teaching trip. Participants should be confident swimmers or have previous snorkelling experience. Snorkelling is welcome on all dives, and gear rental can be arranged on request if required.

The package includes three nights’ accommodation and three ocean launches. Full payment is required to Durban Undersea Club to secure your booking, and spaces are limited. A minimum of six divers is required to confirm each launch.
