Dear DUC and DSBC Members
Over the holiday period, several items of clothing were left behind at the club and the lost and found cupboard is overflowing and needs to be cleaned out. If you suspect that you may have left an item at the club, please check out the lost and found cupboard on your next visit which can be found in the front kiosk or “Bait” room.
Valuables like eye and sunglasses are kept in the club office. We will hang onto the items until the end of February and then we will distribute them to the needy ahead of the next influx of forgotten items expected over the holiday periods in March and April.
Club Memberships available
During the festive season, the club receives many applications from potential members who find us by chance while exploring the area or are introduced by other members to the club facilities. Although the club is approaching its membership threshold, there are still membership spaces available if you know of anyone who is interested in joining. Pro rata rates until July 2022 are now applicable for new members.
Advance payment of club fees
One of the reasons the club collects membership fees in the middle of the calendar year (July / August) is because there is usually less strain on finances at that time of the year as opposed to January and February with expenses such as holiday hangover credit card payments, school fees and taxes.
However, the financial effects of COVID are still affecting many members and some may still find themselves in a difficult position come July and August when fees are due.
You do have the option of making small monthly recurring advance payments through your internet banking platform so that when the time comes to pay fees, the “hit” is no so great. If you start now, you can make 6 or 7 instalment payments towards your fees for the 22/23 membership year.
Send an email to general@pwsc.co.za and we will send you the payment reference and bank details to use to set up the payments. Membership fees are paid into specific accounts depending on the membership affiliation so please check before setting up the payments.
